“It’s happened before, but the broadcast time and actual round clock have been off before,” justified one fan, who claimed that such an incident is not a novelty in the UFC. After all, everybody makes mistakes. As a fan on X said, “I was wondering the same s–t at the time lol,” expressing his confusion, another fan added that he didn’t notice the last five seconds at all. “Wtf was that? I didn’t even notice.” It shows that Ian Garry and Carlos Prates had many fans locked in on their performance inside the Octagon. With a fan calling last weekend’s headliner a “fake fight,” the general sentiment among them is that the welterweight stars should “run it back.”
