Demonstrators occupied Trump Tower in New York City to demand the release of pro-Palestinian organizer Mahmoud Khalil, a legal permanent resident of the U.S. and graduate student at Columbia University.

The Jewish Voice for Peace group was said to have flooded the lobby of Trump Tower. Videos posted to social media showed throngs of protesters in the golden-colored building.

"Fight Nazis, not students!" the protesters chanted.

"I know the owner of that building and he will definitely be pressing charges," Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) wrote on the X social media platform.
