Fear Street: Prom Queen Trailer Teases Bloody Return to Shadyside in Netflix Horror Movie

The first trailer for Fear Street: Prom Queen has been released.

Fear Street: Prom Queen will be the fourth installment in Netflix’s Fear Street film series following Fear Street Part One: 1994, Fear Street Part Two: 1978, and Fear Street Part Three: 1666. Directed and co-written by Matt Palmer, the movie will be released on the streaming platform next month.

What happens in the Fear Street: Prom Queen trailer?

The Fear Street: Prom Queen trailer welcomes horror fans back to Shadyside for a bloody new entry in the franchise. Trouble brews as teenage girls start to go missing, all while Shadyside High is preparing for an epic prom season.

“Welcome back to Shadyside,” the official synopsis reads. “In this next installment of the blood-soaked Fear Street franchise, prom season at Shadyside High is underway and the school’s wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider puts herself in the running, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of ’88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.”

Fear Street: Prom Queen is based on the 1992 novel written by R.L. Stine. Palmer — who previously made 2018’s Calibre with Jack Lowden — co-wrote the screenplay with Donald McLeary. Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and Kori Adelson serve as producers on the movie, while Yvonne Bernard, Joan Waricha, and Jane Stine serve as executive producers.

The cast of the new horror movie includes India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, Chris Klein, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, Ariana Greenblatt, Lili Taylor, Katherine Waterston, Darrin Baker, Rebecca Ablack, Ilan O’Driscoll, Damian Romeo, Dakota Taylor, Eden Summer Gilmore, Brennan Clost, Cecilia Lee, and Ryan Rosery.

Produced by Chernin Entertainment, Fear Street: Prom Queen will be released on Netflix on May 23, 2025.
