Another FBI offshoot is coming soon, and after learning who one of the stars of the upcoming spinoff is, it's clear that Dick Wolf's CBS shows have a type regarding their leads. The FBI franchise began with FBI in 2018, and the original police procedural TV series has been a hit ever since. It's going on eight seasons (with the seventh ending in May 2025 and the eighth premiering sometime during the 2025–2026 season), but has already been renewed through nine. Unfortunately, FBI's two aired spinoffs — FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International — haven't fared as well as the first show.
