A long-running reality series has sparked fresh discussion about its future following a recent network decision. As conversations grow among viewers, new developments have brought renewed attention to the show’s trajectory after multiple seasons on air.

Bravo puts The Real Housewives of Miami on pause

According to reports from Variety and Deadline, Bravo has put The Real Housewives of Miami on pause following weeks of speculation about the show’s future. A source confirmed the decision after the series concluded its seventh season in October 2025. The reality series “is the least-watched entry among the network’s ‘Real Housewives’ series,” despite maintaining a dedicated fan base.

The most recent season aired on October 16, 2025, and recorded low viewership despite maintaining a loyal audience. Season 7 starred Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Lisa Hochstein, Guerdy Abraira, Julia Lemigova, and Stephanie Shojaee. Adriana de Moura, Marysol Patton, and Kiki Barth appeared in recurring roles. Reports suggested producers considered cast changes after a challenging season for several members.

The franchise has faced a similar pause before. After airing its third season in 2013, the network placed the show on an indefinite hiatus without formally canceling it. The series returned in 2021 as a Peacock original after more than eight years off air. It later moved back to Bravo for its sixth and seventh seasons.

The series has featured a predominantly Latina cast and included “Bravo’s first out, full-time LGBTQ cast member in Lemigova, who is married to tennis superstar Martina Navratilova.” Purveyors of Pop produces the show, with Matt Anderson, Nate Green, Cooper Green, Maty Buss, Bill Fritz, James Brangert and Andy Cohen serving as executive producers.

Amid the pause, legal issues have also emerged involving Alexia Nepola’s husband, Todd Nepola. He has filed a lawsuit accusing Bravo, NBCUniversal Media and Purveyors of Pop Productions of defamation and “using his name to amplify false storylines,” and he did not film for the latest season following his separation from Alexia Nepola.
