Now Aaron Moten, who plays disenfranchised soldier Maximus, has said there are plans for a lot more Fallout.
Speaking at Liverpool’s ComicCon over the weekend, Moten said: “When I signed on to do the series, they gave me the end point. That end point hasn’t changed, but it is season five, season six. We’ve always known that we’re going to take our time with the development of the characters.”
Last week, Ella Purnell confirmed filming for Fallout season two had finished and Walton Goggins celebrated the news by tearing off his prosthetic Ghoul make-up.
Amazon is yet to announce a release date for Fallout season two. “The bar was high for lovers of this iconic video game and so far we seem to have exceeded their expectations, while bringing in millions of new fans to the franchise,” Amazon’s Jennifer Salke wrote, confirming the second season last year. “We are thrilled to take viewers even farther into the surreal world of Fallout.”
Goggins previously teased that the next batch of episodes will be even better than the original season. “I thought season one was extraordinary, personally, I was very pleased with it. This blows it out of the water, what these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story. It’s really gonna be something. I can’t wait for people to see it.”
“Now that people understand what the world is, this story just takes it to a whole ‘nother level,” he said in another interview. “I’ve been around a long time, and usually a show that people are attracted to, with that licence, the second season really starts cooking, right? That’s when some real magic can happen.”
The second season of Fallout will see the action head to New Vegas. Showrunner Graham Wagner has confirmed fan-favourite video game character Mr. House will play a big role in the new episodes, while Macaulay Culkin will play “a crazy genius-type character.”
Amazon’s Fallout adaptation inspired a surge of people to play the games. Bethesda is currently working on Fallout 5 – but it’ll be released after The Elder Scrolls 6, which is due to launch in 2026 at the earliest.
In other news, Activision has confirmed the third wave of artists that will feature on the soundtrack for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 – and fans are upset about the lack of classic anthems.
