Everyone was wearing life jackets. However, Zubeen Garg's death was not due to scuba diving, but rather due to a seizure while swimming. Garima explained that her husband had suffered seizures several times before, but he always recovered. This time, when the attack suddenly struck, team members tried to save him and he was immediately rushed to the hospital. He was kept in the ICU of Singapore General Hospital for about two hours, but could not be revived.
Following Zubeen Garg's death, the Assam government declared a three-day state mourning. No official events, entertainment shows, or celebrations will be held during this period.
