In the latest episode of Filmfare OTT Showcase, Maheep Kapoor talks about the pressure of beauty standards and her personal experience with cosmetic procedures. When asked if there was ever pressure on her to do Botox, she candidly admitted that while Botox is a simple way to freshen up the face, fillers were a different story for her.

She reflected on how her perception of herself changed after starring in Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. "Once I did Bollywood Wives, there is a magic and innocence when you do the first season because we were so raw. I didn’t even know how my backside looked—who sees your backside? But I was like, oh my God, my hair, my back, I need to work out a little more. You see every angle of yourself, and suddenly you become aware. And then, there’s a little more pressure, and that magic changes slightly," she shared.

Speaking about her experience with fillers, she admitted, "I did fillers, and I looked like a clown. It didn’t suit me at all. I had to wait for them to dissolve and settle in. Whatever. Now they are out of my face, and I will never, ever do this again. I have a round face. Botox is just a mace—it freshens up your face."

When asked about the difference between Botox and fillers, Maheep explained it in simple terms. "Fillers are like taking a pump to a flat tire and just pumping, pumping, pumping. And then, you over-pump, and you look like a balloon. Botox is more like freezing—it’s like ironing out the wrinkles."

As someone constantly in the public eye, she was also asked if fame makes her feel self-congratulatory. She quickly dismissed the idea of being a narcissist but acknowledged, "I am very aware because we are living in a world of social media, and people are very cruel. They keep making these comments."

Maheep Kapoor has been married to Sanjay Kapoor since 1997. They are parents to daughter Shanaya and son Jahaan. Shanaya Kapoor is soon set to make her debut in the Hindi film industry.
