Chicago P.D. prides itself on featuring realistic police encounters, and having call signs is part of that. Each member of the Chicago P.D. Intelligence Unit has a specific call sign, or code name, that signifies who they are. Rather than use the names of the Chicago P.D. characters, these call signs are meant to represent them instead.
