EU ministers in final push to seal emissions targets ahead of COP30 in Brazil

EU environment ministers will meet Tuesday for a final push to agree on 2035 and 2040 emissions targets before the UN climate summit in Belem, Brazil. “To come empty-handed… would really undermine the EU’s credibility,” an EU diplomat said, as negotiations among the bloc’s 27 states continue late into the night.
