The first two episodes of Ethan Hawke’s new crime thriller series are now streaming on Hulu, and critics have finally reached a verdict about the show. At the time of writing, The Lowdown currently sits at a nearly perfect 96% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. This comes from over two dozen reviews, with only one being negative. The series is set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and follows a determined bookstore owner who doubles as an investigative journalist, working to expose corruption and organized crime in the city he loves. Keith David (The Princess and the Frog) and Ryan Kiera Armstrong (Skeleton Crew) also appear in the show.
