The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.

Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) has made two huge discoveries about Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) in Emmerdale.

Yesterday, Billy and Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) daughter Clemmie (Mabel Addison) saw Joe kissing Dawn. The youngster has been struggling with the news Billy and Dawn are splitting up so to see her mum kiss Joe, it caused an awful lot of upset and confusion.

Clemmie retreated into herself and barely spoke a word for the rest of the day. She was eventually found by Joe, who asked if she’d like to go to the cinema with him and Lucas.

Clemmie immediately told Joe that she doesn’t like him, and knows he kissed Dawn. He reacted by trying to grab Clemmie’s jumper, so she bit his arm and ran away.

In tonight’s episode, Joe continued to use his manipulation tactics to try and keep Clemmie quiet. He presented her with a karaoke machine in an attempt to buy her silence, but he was surprised to later find Clemmie breaking the toy into pieces.

She told Joe that her biological mum would use similar tactics when she lived with her – it didn’t work then, and it wasn’t going to work now.

Joe then took to scaring Clemmie by telling her that if she said anything about him kissing Dawn, he’d make sure she goes back into care for behaving badly. This has always completely terrified Clemmie, so hearing someone say they could make that happen left her in tears.

Clemmie was later found by Billy. He was gentle and kind with her and eventually, she told him absolutely everything.

The fact Joe threatened Clemmie angered Billy more than his ex-partner kissing him. Despite his fury building, Billy told Clemmie that reacting to a situation with violence is not the answer.

In a few days time, someone will get their revenge on Joe while at Lydia’s (Karen Blick) birthday party. Given this comment from Billy tonight, it certainly suggests he won’t be the person to attack Joe at Home Farm.

Do you think Billy will get revenge on Joe?

Yes, he will be the culprit!
No, he will let someone else do it
Yes, but not in the way we expect

Jay Kontzle fuelled this theory recently by saying: ‘He’s cautious about it [getting revenge] because of the kids. It’s a juggle between what’s right and what’s wrong. What Joe has done is completely wrong so do you fight fire with fire, or do you see the logical approach and think of the children.

‘The fact Joe has threatened Clemmie, and gone behind his back, it’s disrespectful and it feels like there should be some sort of repercussion from it.’

He added: ‘In Billy’s eyes, he’s lost everything. He’s potentially going to lose his children as well, Billy will eventually have nothing. He won’t have the kids, Dawn, a house, so does he just risk it all anyway?’.
