Elvira Meets a Classic R.L. Stine Horror Monster in New Trailer for Anticipated Sequel Movie

Cassandra Peterson, best known for playing Elvira, is about to face a terrifying monster in the sequel to a beloved R.L. Stine adaptation. The actress is set to join the cast of the upcoming movie alongside the returning stars.

Tubi has unveiled the official trailer for R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the original 2025 horror flick. The sequel premieres on Tubi on Friday, October 9, 2026.

R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2 returns with the leading stars Bean Reid as Sam and Adeline Lo as Becka. This time, the kids must deal with a new curse that awakens in Redhaven. The movie also stars Peterson, best known for her portrayal of the horror hostess Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.

What happens in R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2 trailer?

R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2 trailer opens with an eerie montage of Redhaven, a small town cursed for 20 years. Still grappling with the fact that his family has no memory of him after lifting the harvest curse in the previous movie, Sam begins to notice more unsettling things in the town.

To find out what is causing these spooky occurrences, Sam teams up with Becka once again to investigate. The duo soon discovers that a new crop of cursed pumpkin entities is plaguing the town, awakened by an ancient ritual book.

“I would like to go back to when one murderous scarecrow was the problem,” Becka says at one point in the trailer. She and Sam visit the town sheriff, who was responsible for the first curse. He reveals that he stole the ancient book from a woman named Cassandra.

This mysterious witch possesses the power that can help the kids stop the new Pumpkinhead curse. “I can end the curse,” Cassandra tells the duo, adding, “The magic is strongest on the harvest moon.”

Sam and Becka once again find themselves navigating a dangerous trail to free Redhaven of the Pumpkinhead uprising.
