Ash Panesar (Sakira Vel) has always had a complicated relationship with mum Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal) in EastEnders, and that hasn’t changed since her return to Albert Square.

Viewers will know that Ash returned to Walford from Canada after her marriage fell apart.

In upcoming scenes, tensions rise between the mother and daughter duo again when Suki fails to show sympathy for Ash amid her divorce struggles.

Suki heads to the Vic to find Eve Panesar-Unwin (Heather Peace) comforting Ash after news of her divorce and reveals that Ria’s biological mother wants to meet with them.

However, upset at Suki’s lack of empathy, Ash refuses to join them for the meeting.

The next day, Eve convinces Ash to join them at Knight Fusion for the meeting, but it may prove to be the wrong move.

Things get off to an awkward start, and it only gets worse when Suki and Ash get into an argument in the kitchen, only to be overheard by Ria’s mum, Harleen.

It is clear that the meeting doesn’t go the way they’d hoped when Suki and Eve are left broken when it’s over.

Ash tries her best to help them see the situation from both sides, but the couple are left feeling hopeless.

Needing advice, Suki turns to Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) for support.

Sharon urges Suki not to give up and encourages her to fight for Ria.

Will things work out for the Panesar-Unwins?
