EastEnders legend reels as she finds explicit video on fiancé’s laptop

EastEnders’ Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) recent discovery of an explicit video on partner Alfie Moon’s (Shane Richie) laptop casts a huge shadow over their forthcoming wedding next week. 

The pair are set to tie the knot for the third time after Alfie popped the question earlier this week. 

However, Kat was soon shaken when she found the adult content on Alfie’s computer, not realising their teenage son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) had purchased it. 

In scenes to air on the BBC soap next week, Kat confides in Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) of her fears that Alfie has turned to porn as things have been quiet in the bedroom since his treatment for prostate cancer.

Later, Kat plans to seduce Alfie, but he is taken aback, and his attempts to slow things down cause a hurt Kat to storm out. 

After Kat and Alfie seek advice from Jean and Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) respectively, the couple finally have an honest conversation about where they stand.

But when Kat mentions the explicit video on Alfie’s laptop, he’s confused until he works out that it was Tommy who was watching it.

Despite getting to the bottom of the matter, their discovery still puts their nuptials under threat as their concerns about Tommy deepen. 

The troubled teen has only recently returned home after being placed in foster care when his physical abuse of Kat came to the attention of social services last year. 

Unbeknown to Kat and Alfie, he is also being led astray by new friend Joel Marshall (Max Murray), who is central to a new incel storyline.

Alfie promises to talk to Tommy, but a series of mishaps distract him, and when he later admits he’s also made a mess of several wedding tasks, Kat tells him she’s having second thoughts about the wedding. 

Her decision to call it off leaves Alfie devastated and angry, but a later pep talk from an unlikely source leaves him wondering whether he and Kat can get through this. 

Is this the end of the road (again) for one of Walford’s most iconic couples ever?
