The 2024 season was quite a rollercoaster ride. The Chiefs were on the verge of a 3-peat, but the Eagles stopped them in their tracks. Even the 47th US President, Donald Trump, created history by becoming the first sitting US President to attend the Super Bowl. He was a supporter of Patrick Mahomes. But Jalen Hurts & co. took their Super Bowl LIV revenge by defeating them. Showing a big heart and continuation of the existing practice, the President extended a visit to the Super Bowl champions on Monday, the 28th of April.

However, Jalen Hurts is not excited about the trip. TIME magazine reporter asked the quarterback about their upcoming White House Visit, he remained quiet and did not utter a word. Does it mean something big? Jalen Hurts is not a very big fan of Donald Trump. But the franchise has taken a very big turn.

Last time, after their first Super Bowl win, the Eagles were hoping for an invitation. But the President pulled it back, claiming the team was not worthy as many players refused to stand up for the national anthem. The tensions soared in 2018 then.

However, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the Eagles visit to the White House. The franchise whole heartedly accepted it as she announced last month, “I know there was a lot of fake news about an invitation that wasn’t sent or was sent. We want to correct the record: We sent an invitation. They enthusiastically accepted, and you will see them here on April 28.

Stay tuned. There’s more tho this story.
