The 2025 HBO Max classic crime thriller series Duster features a strong cast led by Josh Holloway as the groovy getaway driver Jim Ellis. Duster season 1 had already garnered critical acclaim before its premiere episode, earning an impressive 93% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing. Based on the Duster season 1 trailer, the new series is set to be a highly stylized throwback to the '70s with Jim as the lead protagonist. The official logline reads that Jim's life will go "from awful to wildly, stupidly, dangerously awful" throughout the course of the 8-part season.
