In December, Anthony Edwards shocked the world with a concerning confession, “Yeah, we don’t have s—. We don’t have no identity. We know I’m gonna shoot a bunch of shots, we know Ju (Julius Randle) gonna shoot a bunch of shots and that’s all we know… We don’t really know anything else.” As the playoffs loom closer, identity crisis continues to be a major issue for the Wolves. But their curse has indirectly turned into a blessing for the Warriors – With a little assist from Zion Williamson.

Anthony Edwards and Co. recently went on an eight-game winning streak, even beating an elite team like the Nuggets. Looked like they had finally found their groove. Until they faced the Pacers on Monday! Rudy Gobert got ejected for intentionally hitting Andrew Nembhard during a drive and it all went downhill from there, as the Wolves lost in overtime. But facing the Pelicans tonight, everyone expected them to return to their winning ways.

However, Zion’s dominant 29-point performance led to the Minnesota team losing their second straight game. What’s concerning is that Pelicans are among the bottom two teams in the West and it should have been an easy win for the Wolves. However, their defense – the attribute that helped them make a run to the West Finals last year – could not contain the wrath of the high-flying Williamson.

Of course, tonight’s loss is a major blow to the Wolves’ playoff push as they are now stuck at the seventh seed in the West. Meanwhile, it’s a huge sigh of relief for Dub Nation because the Warriors are now a full game up for the sixth seed on both the Wolves and the Clippers. Moreover, they have already clinched the tiebreaker on the Timberwolves by winning the season series, giving them an added cushion. But there is still a threat from the Clippers as they have clinched the tiebreaker on the Bay Area team. However, that is not stopping Warriors fans from celebrating the Wolves’ loss tonight.

NBA World thanks Zion Williamson as Calls mount against the Wolves for “Unserious” Attitude

Soon after the Pels pulled off the huge upset, Warriors fans showered their love on Zion. Comments like “Send Zion a gift basket” began flooding in.
