Draymond Green has the last laugh with his latest battle with KAT! Well, at least for now. With Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler on court, DrayMagic decided to take the game-winning bucket himself. Poetically, he ran up the lane against Karl-Anthony Towns’ tightly knit defense to drop the dagger lay-up on him and pulled out the night-night celly. He didn’t stop at that. The 4x NBA Champ went on to rub it on his face with post-game blurb while the big man walked off the court in disgust.
The beef started off after Green’s controversial comment on Towns’ absence during the Dubs’ visit to MSG. The star forward implied that KAT was scared to face Jimmy Butler, saying, “Some would say he didn’t play because Jimmy was in the building.” Well, that’s a long story. Butler had a locker room entanglement with Towns and Andrew Wiggins during his short stint with the Wolves. He publicly pressed on them for not playing “hard”.
Things have come a full circle. Seven years later, Draymond Green squashed the allegation on the Dominican big man, saying, “It was good to see KAT show up and play like that. He played hard, played well. He was physical. Probably the most physical I’ve ever seen him. Had some extra motivation.”

We might know where the “extra motivation” came from. Yes, after Green’s controversial statement on his podcast. Nevertheless, the Dubs star sounded as if he had grown past the beef with his encouraging statement. Meanwhile, Towns doesn’t seem to be happy with it, as live visuals sparked a Knicks locker room tension.
This is a developing story!
