DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined Vocation System Detailed

Ahead of its release next month, Square Enix has released new details around DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined’s expanded vocation system, including character-specific starter vocations.

DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined brings with it 10 beginner vocations, which allow players to progress to intermediate and even advanced vocations (such as Hero and Druid) through certain requirements.

Do note that unlocking each of DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined’s vocations is no easy task, but those that persevere will be able to obtain stronger spells and abilities!

DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined also brings with it its new “Moonlighting” system, which gives players the chance to assign two advanced vocations at once to each character. This, in turn, is set to open up a range of new strategies.

Finally, “Vicious Monsters,” powerful optional enemies in DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined that are identifiable by a unique aura, are set to reward players with collectible monster hearts upon defeat. These, in turn, offer up rare effects when equipped as accessories.

DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined is set to release for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Windows on February 5.
