Cave has published a couple of videos for DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite that show new features like the Battle Royale and Assist Play modes. These features did not appear in the previous release of DoDonPachi Resurrection that appeared on platforms like PC, Xbox 360, and iPhone.
The new game mode will be simply known as Royale. Cave described it as a new bullet hell versus mode where players aim to win by making good use of various items. But while a public demo version is readily available on the Steam page, the company clarified that this Battle Royale mode will only appear in the full release of DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite.
The official tweet containing the Battle Royale footage trailer is also available right below. It shows how the mode can support up to ten players in a session. Some of the items obtainable will also hinder other players, such as reducing their visibility range.
On the same day, Cave also published gameplay footage of the Assist Play mode that will be available in DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite. This mode will have all shots fired automatically, and enemy bullets will also be slowed down when they get nearby the player’s unit, so those who activate this mode can focus on controlling their unit to evade the attacks.
DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite will be available worldwide for PC via Steam. A public demo version of the shooting game is also immediately available to download and play.
