Another setback for Roki Sasaki.
The much-hyped Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander is going on the injured list due to right shoulder impingement, the club announced Tuesday.
The Dodgers have recalled right-hander J.P. Feyereisen to fill the roster spot.
Sasaki, 23, was named the No. 1 prospect in baseball after leaving Japan to sign with the Dodgers in January.
But it has been a difficult transition.
Sasaki’s velocity has dropped in recent outings. He has a 4.72 ERA in eight starts and has struck out 24 and walked 22.
Sasaki gave up five runs on five hits in four innings in his last start this past weekend in Arizona.
