The Los Angeles Dodgers won the last game of 2024 and the first game of 2025.

L.A. rallied past the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo to win 4-1 in the first game of a two-game season-opening series.

The two teams will meet again on Wednesday (6 a.m. ET on Sportsnet).

The Cubs took an early 1-0 lead and Shota Imanaga kept the Dodgers hitless through four innings. But the Dodgers pounced after Imanaga was replaced by Ben Brown in the fifth, scoring three runs in the frame. L.A. added another run in the ninth.

Shohei Ohtani had a double and a single in five plate appearances, scoring two runs.
