Cannes Film Festival has always been one of the most prestigious events for celebs all over the world. While the countdown to the 78th Cannes Film Festival has begun, fans just can't contain their excitement as well as their questions for their favourite celebrities attending the Red Carpet.

However, over the years there has been a lot of speculation around the 'exclusivity' of this event, as popular social media stars who are not even connected to the world of cinema in any way were also seen walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival.

So do celebs really pay for walking the red carpet? Well not really, Cannes describes itself as an exclusive "invite-only" event where the attendees are either invited or go through a pitching process and majority of the expenses are taken care of by brands which partner with these celebs.

An Instagram content creator, Anupriya Kapur, took to instagram and revealed some shocking details. The influencer shared a screenshot of an email which she "received" in which someone proposed to her a 'package' for influencers to pay for attending Cannes, promising an opportunity to gain visibility and networking approach. In the screenshot, the person seems to be offering a package with a price range starting from Rs 8 Lakhs for Mid-Level experience to Rs 12 for Elite Experience.

The influencer wrote in her story, "Just in case you think "Influencers" get "invited" to Cannes and International fashion shows. They have to pay for it and there is nothing wrong with it, but then they pretend they didn't pay and try to act like they are representing the country."
