Marvel has unquestionably changed the entertainment industry with the success of its superhero films, but to say that its live-action television efforts have been disappointing is an understatement. In the modern era, the Netflix Marvel shows hinted at interesting storylines that were never completed because the universe was abruptly cut short, and the output on ABC felt like run-of-the-mill network content. The Disney+ era of originals has faced the opposite set of issues because Marvel seems to approach these shows as if they were films and doesn't ensure that they have the type of stories that sustain weekly installments.
