According to director and co-writer Christopher McQuarrie, the answer is a firm no — and the reason, like many of the series’ best moments, comes down to gravity. In a recent exclusive conversation with Collider’s Steve Weintraub about Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, McQuarrie shut down any lingering hope of a zero-gravity adventure for Tom Cruise’s globe-trotting superspy.
