Dipika Kakar REVEALS she is 'free from tumour'; says first part of treatment...

Television popular actress Dipika Kakar who was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital for over a week has been discharged after 11 days. The actress had undergone surgery for stage 2 liver cancer which left fans and her loved ones worried. She confirmed that she is now "free from the tumour" but said that the treatment is still required.

She took to her social media and expressed gratitude towards the medical team. She wrote, "11 Days of being here and now home Free from the tumour but this is one part of the treatment done remaining will follow in the coming time and mujhe yakeen hai I will sail through that too as I said before."

Dipika even appreciated the care she received and spoke about the difficult days that she faced for 11 days. "Ye 11 din mushkil the but because of the amazing ppl we had around things went smooth there was suffering but it was all handled with a lot of warmth by everyone at the kokilabenhospital," she wrote.

Dipika even thanked fans for everyone's love and support in their difficult times. "And my biggest strength has been the love, prayers & blessings that u all have showered on me . Dil Se thank u bahut himmat mili aap sabka pyaar dekhke," she added.

Husband Shoaib Ibrahim revealed Dipika's health details in his vlog. "Everything is fine right now, but we've only crossed one milestone. There are still many things ahead that we have to look into," he said. He even said that Dipika is recovering well and the progress is taking time. "The tumour was malignant. That situation has to be monitored. Also, they've asked us to come back in a week. After that, they'll decide what further treatment is needed," he revealed. Dipika started experiencing severe stomach pain and they got to know that she had a tumour in her liver. Tests confirmed it was a stage 2 cancer diagnosis which left her family worried.

Now, Dipika and Shoaib are back home and she is reunited with her son Ruhaan and other family members. Dipika received a warm welcome at home.
