Digimon Con 2026 Announcements Include Digimon Story Expansion, D-Ark Color 

Bandai Namco held a Digimon Con 2026 stream on March 21, 2026, and it featured announcements like a DLC expansion for Digimon Story: Time Stranger, a Digimon Tamers D-Ark 25th Color Evolution virtual pet assortment, more Godzilla edition virtual pets, and a new game called Digimon UP. The pre-orders for both types of devices are already live in Japan, with Bandai Namco’s official social media accounts promising worldwide launches at a later date. The new mobile game will be out in 2026, and the add-on for the JRPG will appear in 2027.

The most details are available about the new devices. The Digimon Tamers D-Ark 25th Color Evolution virtual pets are expected to launch in July 2026 in Japan. Those will be available in color schemes based on the ones Takato Matsuda (Takato Matsuki), Henry Wong (Li Jianliang), and Rika Nonaka (Ruki Makino) used. They will cost 14,300円 (~$90) each. Meanwhile, the Godzilla Edition Omegamon: G Fusion Digimon Pendulum Color options will follow in August 2026 in the country. Those will be 7,920円 (~$50) each. Both models are in color. The D-Ark variants also vibrate during certain actions to provide force feedback.

Details about the new games are more vague. Digimon Story: Time Stranger previously had a season pass with three extra episode expansion add-ons that added some new quests and characters. The 2027 expansion will be a larger affair. At the event, Producer Ryosuke Hara hinted at further Aegiomon appearances by noting Mutsumi Tamura is involved and the 139th Digimon Referendum feedback poll that asked which characters people wanted to see more of affected this. With Digimon Up, it will be a 2026 mobile game that involves raising and battling Digimon. The site for that is live, and there’s a trailer for it.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger is available on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, it is heading to the Switch and Switch 2 on July 10, 2026, and the expansion is coming in 2027, and there's no date for the 2027 Digimon Con yet. Digimon Up will come to mobile devices in 2026.
