Directed by Lynne Ramsay and adapted from Ariana Harwicz’s 2017 novel, Die, My Love features Lawrence and Pattinson as a couple living in rural America.
Shortly after giving birth, Lawrence’s character develops postpartum depression which leads to her suffering with psychosis. Her husband, however, is seemingly oblivious to what his wife is going through.

As recently reported by Variety, distributor MUBI has picked the film up for release in the UK, the US, Australia, India, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Germany, and multiple other territories.
That means audiences will be able to watch the film on MUBI’s streaming service, while it is also likely to receive a limited theatrical release. An official release date has not yet been announced.
The upcoming film was shown at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was heavily praised by critics. It currently holds a Rotten Tomatoes score of 87 per cent, based on 17 reviews.
Various critics have praised Ramsay’s direction for creating a purposely disorientating atmosphere, while Lawrence’s performance has also been lauded.
In a four-star review, The Guardian praised Die, My Love for being “a ferociously intense study of a lonely, passionate woman and her descent into bipolar disorder”, while Collider wrote that Lawrence delivers “a hilarious and devastating tour-de-force performance”.
Also awarding it four stars, NME described it as “an excellent film that will probably be in the running for big prizes come awards season. Away from the shine of Hollywood, Die, My Love is also sure to provoke conversation around the incredibly challenging time many new mothers experience.”
