Netflix's new dramedy TV show, Diary of a Ditched Girl, is the latest in a long line of series that mine the humiliation rituals of contemporary dating for comedy. However, this doesn't stop the show from crafting characters you'll instantly take to and giving them rich, full lives that are wracked with perils more emotionally costly than a few bad Tinder dates. Based on the book Half of Malmö's Men Have Dumped Me by Amanda Romare, Diary of a Ditched Girl is an easy watch that might surprise you with its emotional depth.
