Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) made an unsuccessful attempt to leave Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) a few weeks ago in Emmerdale, will she get it right a second time?

Oh man it’s frustrating – Dawn was right there, car packed, all the intentions in the world to drive off into the sunset and leave Joe a distant memory. He talked her back round, and now she’s in a situation here she is in even more danger than before and doesn’t even know it. She was so close to freedom!

See, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) – Billy Fletcher’s (Jay Kontzle) girlfriend for a short time – is a little stirrer and the orchestrator of Dawn’s downfall.

She became convinced that something has been going on between the two exes Billy and Dawn.

Up Next

Like the witch with a B that she is, she shared her concerns with Joe, who initially baulked at them. But she persisted, and when Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) revealed he knew Billy and Dawn had kissed, disbelief followed by fury took over Joe.

Dawn’s fight for survival begins when Billy reveals that Joe was the one who attacked him in the depot.

Whether this is true or not remains to be seen as Caleb is the one who put the idea in his head, but Billy is adamant he saw his attacker and does his best to convince Dawn.

Dawn is gutted and realises she is trapped in a relationship with a violent thug – pregnant with Joe’s baby. Billy has the perfect solution; they run away together. Not that simple, but doable, if Dawn can just stick to the plan this time.

Caleb is shocked when he learns Billy tells the police his attacker wasn’t Joe, but Billy reveals he’s playing the long game – making Joe feel complacent so that he doesn’t see Dawn’s escape coming. He asks Caleb to help them get away.

But someone knows what really happened to Billy, will they reveal it and ruin the whole plot?

Now, what we know is that there hasn’t been an official announcement that Jay Kontzle is leaving, which suggests that Dawn’s exit is solo. Does Joe catch up with her and stop her making it out alive?
