The Sanders family sticks together, be it in happy or sad times. It’s always a family affair when it comes to the Sanders. Shedeur and Shilo are now out of their father’s shadow and have to build their careers by themselves. It’s a challenge, alright, for the brothers, but Shilo seems to be taking the Buccaneers by storm. He impressed the staff at the team’s rookie camp too. “I’m just gonna do everything in my power to help this team win,” he told the press afterward. “That’s all I want.” Older brother Deion Sanders Jr. lauds Shilo as he makes his way forward in this new realm.

Shilo was giving his everything to get a shot at the NFL. He couldn’t impress scouts like his brother did and ended up missing out on a combine invite. But he trained and prepped to the best he could and let his skills do the talking at Colorado’s pro day. After that, he had no option but to wait. He fell out of the draft, but he still held on to a sliver of hope. And then, the momentous call finally arrived, where he was offered a contract to play with the Buccaneers. Shilo grabbed that opportunity and ran with it and is already making waves in training.

Brother Deion Sanders Jr. couldn’t help but give the community a glimpse of his new mindset on Instagram. He captioned the video as ‘Young King.’ Shilo speaks about how he views the disappointments he has faced in his life so far. “It’s not really a low, because you can’t change the path, and you can’t really do anything about something that already happened,” he said.

Shilo was missing out on opportunities before the draft, and experts and analysts did not have very high hopes for his draft prospects. “So I just, you know, I just trust God, and I always end up doing something great. So I just know it’s going to happen, and whatever is happening currently is to learn or to grow from.”

Shilo’s best season came in 2023 when he joined Coach Prime at Colorado. He participated in 70 tackles and caused 4 forced fumbles. But 2024 proved to be a bleak year, as he battled injuries and ended his season early as a result. However, he’s not going to let those numbers be all that can define him. Bucky knows his brothers will live up to their potential and will always bat for them.

Social media is his avenue, and he knows best how to keep his brothers’ names away from the truckloads of hate already dumped on them. Be it Shilo or Shedeur, big brother Deion Jr. is always to the rescue.

Deion Sanders Jr. claps back against Shedeur haters

Coach Prime taking the reins at Colorado is a milestone. Football here enjoyed a largely white representation and fanbase. So when Deion Sanders arrived in his black gusto, things went into an upheaval, but for the right cause. While the veteran player got busy changing the program’s standard of football, Deion Jr., the Buffs’ media man, decided to change their media presence and image. And it’s got results too. Since Well Off Media, run by Bucky, started running the show, the program’s social media footprint shot up by a whopping 500%.

He’s letting all of that do the talking for the boys, especially Shedeur. The Colorado QB was a scorned draft prospect right from the get-go, but he eventually braved the odds. Deion Jr. set the record straight by sharing a 144-second video of his prowess on Instagram. It showed his impressive passes and sacks and, most importantly, his natural chemistry with No. 2 pick Travis Hunter. The background runs the ‘They All Fall Down’ song as the visuals play.

The lyrics singled out for the video were, “Cuz whoever speak on my brothers, they all fall down. Anybody talk about my sisters, man, they all fall down. Anybody go against my family, man, they all fall down. Anybody go against my [ __ ] man, they all fall [Music] down….” Meaning, Deion Jr. wants the unnecessary criticism of his brother to end.

The people standing by Shedeur and Shilo are not many. But at the forefront, the family is busy warding off all they hate they possibly can. “They tested the whole family,” Coach Prime said in one of Shilo’s livestreams. That’s what defines the state of the unit during these very happening weeks. Deion Jr., in particular, is making sure to keep his brothers’ names away from the hate, as they carry on in this new phase of life.
