Last month, Deafheaven guitarist Kerry McCoy mentioned mysterious plans for a new EP. Talking to the Spanish website Binaural, McCoy said the new record would be both "the heaviest" and "the hardest" thing that the band had ever done — a big claim when this band is the one under discussion. He also said that it would be out "before the end of the year." Right now, Deafheaven are on tour with fellow heavy music titans Mastodon and Alcest, and we've been seeing reports about the band selling that new EP at the merch tables. Now, it has arrived.
