This article contains SPOILERS for Dark Winds season 3's finale.The ending of Dark Winds season 3 mostly put a bow on the various investigations and dramas going on, but it also ended up making one of Special Agent Sylvia Washington's (Jenna Elfman) decisions even more confusing in retrospect. After Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) killed BJ Vines at the end of Dark Winds season 2, Agent Washington was sent to investigate Vines' disappearance. It immediately looked like she had figured everything out, and her investigation was a constant source of stress and pressure for Joe throughout the season. It seemed like Washington was mere moments away from cracking the case and locking Joe up.
