Right now is an amazingly exciting fan to be a fan of the Cyberpunk franchise, despite the launch of the first Cyberpunk 2077 game being almost six years in the rearview mirror. When Cyberpunk 2077 first launched in 2020 courtesy of CD Projekt Red, the same studio behind The Witcher 3, it was a complete and utter disaster. Things went so poorly, especially for fans who had not yet attained a next-generation console, that the developers were forced to issue full refunds for those who were unable to play the game on older hardware. However, through the course of several years, countless quality of life updates, and even a massive DLC starring Idris Elba, Cyberpunk 2077 has fully redeemed itself and is now back on top as one of the most beloved RPGs of all time.
