Michael B. Jordan has offered up a Creed 4 update in a recent interview, noting that he’d like to have actor Jonathan Majors return for a sequel.

What is Michael B. Jordan’s Creed 4 update?

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter as part of a story on Majors, Jordan — who has starred in all of the Creed films and directed the last installment — said that he would “love” to make a fourth Creed with Majors, noting that to him, Majors has done all the legal things necessary to move on and grow.

“He was arrested. He went to court. He did what he was supposed to do. I’m not sure what else there is,” said Jordan. “I would love to make Creed IV together — among other projects, I’ve known and know him as someone who is continuously striving to improve as a human, a man and an actor. I believe in him.”

The comments come as Majors’ next movie, Magazine Dreams, is set to release on March 21, 2025. The film was once reported to be an award season contender in 2023, but following Majors’ arrest and legal issues, was removed from its original release schedule.

In 2023, Majors was convicted of three counts of third-degree assault and second-degree harassment. These stem from an incident in 2023 in which Majors struck then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari “about the face with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear.” Additionally, he allegedly grabbed her hand and neck, “causing bruising and substantial pain.”

As a result of his conviction, Majors was sentenced to having to take part in 52 weeks of a domestic violence intervention program and probation.

Although Majors has spoken about growth and change in the years following the legal issues, not everyone is ready to believe that. Maura Hooper, an ex-girlfriend of Majors who was one of two women to give a pretrial statement to prosecutors in Majors’ case against Jabbari, and who alleged that Majors was emotionally abusive to her, told THR that she doesn’t really see a path to redemption for Majors.

“I don’t really care that his movie is coming out,” Hooper said. “What do you get at the end of a 52-week domestic violence course? Do the victims get a debrief? How could I know if he’s changed? I don’t see redemption happening here.”
