A show getting canceled comes down to many reasons. Most of the time, it has to do with viewership, but sometimes other factors make it hard for the show to continue. That's what happened to Starz's underrated 2019 sci-fi drama that ended up being canceled after one season. After former CEO Chris Albrecht departed the company, current CEO Jeff Hirsh took over and decided the show was not to continue. He said it was a “great experiment,” but “we have made the decision not to bring it back.”
