Almost as soon as Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) arrived in Coronation Street with his wife Lou (Farrel Hegarty) it was obvious that he was going to cause trouble, and that has turned out to be the case.

But it turns out he’s much nastier than we ever expected – as violent scenes in upcoming episodes will prove.

With Mick having assaulted Sean (Antony Cotton) previously, in upcoming episodes Gary Windass (Mikey North) becomes the focus of his attentions when Gary objects to Mick’s bullying behaviour towards Liam (Charlie Wrenshall) and sacks him.

Later, Mick punches Gary to the ground. As Gary attempts to fight back, Kit (Jacob Green) intervenes.

The stage is then set for a special flashback episode that will show what the history is between Mick, Lou and Kit. Revelations will point to Kit being the biological father of Lou and Mick’s son Brody (Ryan Mulvey), it’s been reported.

‘He knows that both [Lou and Mick] are trouble and he’s obviously trying to keep the peace in Weatherfield so if they’re going to be troublemakers then Kit’s going to have to deal with it,’ Jacob Roberts told us.

‘He also knows they’ve got the blackmail on him and they both know what he was like because he’s no angel. So, he’s throwing stones at glass houses I suppose.’

Following on from this, Mick’s aggressive behaviour spirals and his anger is initially directed at Lou, who is seen with a cut to her head.

She tries to flee with her children, but when Tim (Joe Duttine) picks them up in his cab he insists on taking Lou to A&E first. As a nurse starts to ask whether Lou might be in an abusive relationship she does a runner, leaving Tim with her daughters.

Mick’s anger at the break-up of his family is now directed at Kit, who he says has ruined his life. He vows to kill his rival and comes up with a plan. Kit gets a phone call from Mick, telling him to come to a certain location – and to come alone.

Arriving at an area of waste ground, Kit is startled to see that Mick has got a tight grip on Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) – Kit’s mum. Prior to Kit’s arrival, Bernie has attempted to deflect Mick by telling him that Kit doesn’t care about her, after she abandoned him as a baby

When her son appears, Bernie makes a plea to him, telling him that she did try to get in touch with him many years ago when he was still a child, but his adoptive mum refused to let her have any contact.

Will Kit risk his life to save his mother, or will he walk away and leave Bernie to her fate?
