Coronation Street ‘confirms’ who exposes Daisy’s plot – and it’s someone close

Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) has been plotting and scheming against Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) in Coronation Street – unaware that her partner in crime is double-crossing her!

Daisy called in mum Christina (Amy Robbins) after finding out that Jenny had had a windfall and was planning on buying the Rovers behind her back, and together they concocted a plan to con Jenny out of her cash and keep it for themselves.

With the plan reaching its final stages, Daisy has already made the decision to leave Weatherfield, with boyfriend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) agreeing to go with her.

‘I think it’s very bittersweet for Daisy. Weatherfield has been her home for a while now and, early on, was giving her all the things she wanted – family, community, stability, people to love more than she perhaps loves herself – but it’s also been the source of so much trauma for her,’ actress Charlotte Jordan explained.

‘I think we’ve watched her slowly try to pick up the pieces since her stalking storyline, but she’s ultimately realised she doesn’t need to stay in a place that’s caused her so much heartbreak.

‘And it’s just as well she’s running far away to the other side of the planet, as she’s left a mountain of destruction and angry people in her wake!’

In upcoming scenes, things grow more complicated when Daisy starts to smell a rat after Christina refuses to ditch the burner phone she’s been using to catfish Jenny.

Daisy struggles to understand why she won’t let Dom take over and communicate with Jenny himself, given that he is now so involved in their plot.

Her suspicions are soon overshadowed by the shock she gets when Jenny finally comes clean about the £60,000 shares she inherited and reveals that she plans to invest in Dom’s company.

Things get even more complicated when Daniel spots Christina with two phones.

The next day, Christina and Dom find themselves a step closer to victory when Jenny transfers the money over.

However, they decide to have a private conversation in the not-so-private backyard of the Rovers, and Daisy is shocked by what she overhears.

What are they up to, and have they been rumbled?

As Julie Carp’s (Katy Cavanagh) bingo fundraiser gets underway, Christina takes charge, leaving Daisy free to head to the back room, where she finds Jenny in a panic.
