The Washington Commanders will be without key players as they take on the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon.
Commanders head coach Dan Quinn announced that quarterback Jayden Daniels, tight end John Bates and wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown will all miss the game.
McLaurin’s absence leaves the Commanders without their top target, while Daniels’ injury keeps the second-year passer sidelined for the second week in a row.
Daniels missed Week 3 with a knee sprain but was listed as a limited participant at practice on Wednesday and Thursday before Quinn announced he would be out Friday. Marcus Mariota will start at quarterback.
McLaurin, listed with a quadriceps injury, is a key part of the Commanders’ offence. The star wide receiver has been limited to zero touchdowns and only 10 receptions through the first three games of the season but is coming off a career high of 13 touchdowns and 82 receptions in 2024.
Brown is sidelined with a groin issue, while Bates is dealing with a calf injury.
