(From l.) Emily O’Brien is back on DAYS as Theresa, while Rena Sofer (Lois) welcomes a visit from Ellen Travolta as her GH mom, Gloria, and James Patrick Stuart’s Valentin is back in the GH mix.

Who’s Coming

Beyond The Gates

Nischelle Turner (Linda): The Entertainment Tonight co-host joins the action in Fairmont Crest. Her fictional alter ego, Linda, will be on hand to interview Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix).

Bold and Beautiful

Dan Martin (Deputy Chief Baker): There will be a couple of intense confrontations in Los Angeles in this week. Will one of them escalate to the point that B&B’s top cop will be called in, or will Deputy Chief Baker be around for another reason?

Rachel Boyd (Sophia Choi): The drama surrounding Rachel’s pregnancy continues this week as the young woman remains hopeful that she and Tate (Leo Howard) will be able to find a couple to adopt their baby.

Ros Gentle (Rachel Blake): Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) unstable mother continues to terrorize Ava (Tamara Braun) this week.

Tina Huang (Melinda Trask): The DiMera legal eagle popped up last week when it was revealed to Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Doug III (Peyton Meyer) that she bought the necklace that belonged to Julie’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) grandmother, Alice. Huang continues to air into this week.

Emily O’Brien (Theresa Donovan): Surprise! Tate’s mother and Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) ex-wife is back in Salem after a reasonably short stint in prison for aiding in the kidnapping of Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) daughter. After exiting the canvas last year, she threw her son and ex for a loop last week when she unexpectedly showed up in Salem on Friday’s episode. As previously reported, O’Brien will return to the show later this year as her other DAYS alter ego, Gwen Rizczech.

Bryce Durfee (Vaughan): It was announced last week that Joss (Eden McCoy) was getting her own handler in the WSB. The actor, who made his GH debut last Friday, has appeared in prime-time shows like Yellowstone, Hacks and Last Man Standing.

Scarlett Fernandez (Charlotte Cassadine): This week, Fernandez is back again as Lulu’s (Alexa Havins) missing daughter, who has been on the run with her father, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). As fans know, Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jason (Steve Burton) left town last week to search for the pair.

Gary James Fuller (James West): Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) adorable son notches more screen time this week.

Guy Gansert (Geoffrey Beckett): As reported last week, The Bachelorette runner-up will be debuting this week in scenes at Crimson, where he will interact with the magazine’s head honcho, Nina (Cynthia Watros), as well as Ava (Maura West).

Michael E. Knight (Martin Grey): Martin’s legal prowess is in high demand again this week.

James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine): Like his on-screen daughter, the actor will be bringing his character back to the screen.

Ellen Travolta (Gloria Cerullo): Travolta, who made her GH debut in 1994 and returned to the show last year for the occasion of her granddaughter Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) wedding to Chase (Josh Swickard), will appear in Port Charles again this week — and fans can expect her presence to create yet more drama in the unfolding story of Brook Lynn’s secret son, Gio (Giovanni Mazza). Enthuses Rena Sofer, who plays Gloria’s daughter, Lois, “Lois’s return didn’t make sense to me if Ellen didn’t also come back from time to time. I love that she is such an important part of this story. And selfishly, Ellen is my adoptive mother — in my mind and heart — so any time spent with her is a gift to me.”

Christopher Cousins (Alan Laurent): Traci (Beth Maitland) and her newest love will both be back on the scene this week and according to the show’s promo, it looks like their love story may be taking an exciting turn.

Conner Floyd (Chance Chancellor): With Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Sharon (Sharon Case) still missing, you can bet Genoa City’s finest will be on the case. Look for him to give a key piece of information to Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Billy (Jason Thompson) this week.

Casting About

Rena Sofer (Lois, GH) just finished filming a movie in Delaware called Death on the Brandywine. “Tuc Watkins [ex-David Vickers, One Life to Live, et al] plays my husband and Walt Willey [ex-Jackson Montgomery, GH] plays my father-in-law,” Sofer tells Digest. “It’s a Knives Out kind of murder mystery.” She describes her character as a little dopey, chuckling, “I’ve never played a ditz before. It’s a nice change of pace!” Former Grey’s Anatomy star Kate Burton (ex-Dr. Ellis Grey) also stars in the whodunit.

Industry News

The Write Stuff: Jamey Giddens made a big announcement on his official X (formerly Twitter) account when he posted, “A little bit of career news… After almost five amazing years in Salem U.S.A., I’ve relocated to a new neighborhood…#BeyondTheGates #DAYS.” He added, “My #DAYS episodes will continue to air into early 2026, so I’ll be showing both shows plenty of love on social media until, well, forever! Grateful for my time in Salem, and so excited to join my friend @MicheleValJean at her red-hot new sudser! #BeyondTheGates”. The two previously worked together on Ambitions, the OWN series Giddens co-created.

Splashy Debut: Deadline revealed that Beyond The Gates beat former time-slot occupant The Talk by 78% for its premiere with three million viewers tuning in, also besting both lead-ins, Y&R and B&B, beating GH in key demos and tying the ABC soap in total viewers.

Reisman will also direct his “two-hander”, inspired by the real life friendship in 1939 between American playwright and icon Eugene O’Neill (Mendez) and a young sailor, (“Eddie” played by Duell), hired as a handy man to rebuild the front porch where O’Neill wrote “Long Day’s Journey Into Night”. These two stage trained pros will share the stage, alone, for 90 minutes (no intermission). It will be “Acting Olympics” for these guys. @kdharringtonmedia rounds out the team as its Company Manager.”

Real-Life Status

Let’s Call The Whole Thing Off: It’s been seven years since Rebecca Gayheart (ex-Hannah Mayberry, Loving) filed for divorce from Grey’s Anatomy alum Eric Dane (ex-Mark Sloan), but now published reports are saying she filed documents on March 6 to dismiss that request. The two share two daughters, Billie and Georgia, and both actors had been pursuing joint custody. A conference is scheduled for March 10 to make a decision on the matter.

In Memoriam

Marty Davich, who worked behind the scenes on shows like DAYS, ERThird Watch and Beverly Hills, 90210 in the music department, has passed away. His longtime friend Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie, DAYS) shared the news on Instagram with an image of him alongside her late husband, Bill Hayes (ex-Doug), and former co-star Robert Clary (ex-Robert) dressed as clowns. She wrote in the caption, “Marty Davich was our piano man in the golden years of Days music. Often on camera, rarely with dialogue, he spoke through the themes he played. Always perfect, always ingenious, always beautiful… just like the man. This photo is from 1980: a circus night at Doug’s Place, the Salem nightclub of fondest memory. Here are the three musicians I loved so much. I imagine them again, in heaven, making music with the angels. Farewell, dear Marty, and bravo on a life well played 🎶❤ xx Susa.”

Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, who originated the role of Mari Jo Mason on Y&R in 1994, died by suicide at the age of 62. She was found the evening of March 5, with no note. She and former Y&R star David Hasselhoff (ex-Snapper) were married from 1989 to 2006. She appeared as several different characters on his subsequent series, Baywatch, including Kate “Kaye” Morgan, who owned the surf restaurant his character Mitch (who was a friend of hers) and others used to frequent. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In addition to her TV work, she was in the film Castle Rock with Ernest Borgnine and Frank Gorshin (ex-Smiley, The Edge of Night).
