After demolishing expectations in its opening weekend, The Odyssey set new box-office records in its sophomore frame. Christopher Nolan’s epic delivered the biggest second-weekend haul of his illustrious career, beating the previous record of $75 million, set by The Dark Knight in 2008. That film went on to gross more than $500 million domestically and more than $1 billion worldwide.
