An era is ending on Chicago Fire in the upcoming fifteenth season. The founding One Chicago drama returns in NBC's complete fall 2026 schedule, the heroes of Firehouse 51 will lose one of their own. Joe Miñoso, who has been playing Joe Cruz since the very beginning of the show, is exiting the show early in season 15. Normally, an actor's departure in the wake of a massive, life-or-death cliffhanger might be a sign that their character is being killed off, but the news about Cruz spoils the new season in a totally different way.
