Charlie Kirk, Right-Wing Force and a Close Trump Ally, Dies at 31

The founder of Turning Point USA played a central role in organizing young voters and giving shape to the pro-Trump agenda. He was fatally shot during a speaking event in Utah. Charlie Kirk, a conservative wunderkind who through his radio show, books, political organizing and speaking tours did much to shape the hard-right movement that has coalesced around President Trump, becoming a close ally of his, died on Wednesday in Orem, Utah, after he had been shot while speaking at a college campus event. He was 31.
