Capcom can't stop winning lately. While the company behind Street Fighter and Resident Evil has been hot for a while now, 2026 is looking like a banner year, starting with the overwhelming success of Resident Evil: Requiem. The return of its survival horror juggernaut was not only well reviewed as a potential early Game of the Year contender, but also became the fastest-selling game in franchise history, with over 5 million copies sold in its first five days and 8 million within its first six months. Then, in April, they released another acclaimed hit in Pragmata, an entirely new IP that seems poised to become a franchise itself after exceeding 2.5 million copies by the end of July. Now, it appears they have another big hit on their hands.
