Vancouver Canucks winger Nils Hoglander will be missing some time.

Assistant coach Brett McLean said Friday that Hoglander is week-to-week with a lower-body injury, per Sportsnet 650’s Randip Janda.

The 24-year-old suffered the injury in the Canucks’ pre-season game on Wednesday against the Calgary Flames, missing the entire third period.

Hoglander is heading into his sixth NHL season and looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2024-25 campaign during which he had just eight goals and 25 points in 72 games.

He had his most productive season in 2023-24, recording 24 goals and 12 assists in 80 games.

The Swede was selected 40th overall by the Canucks at the 2019 NHL Draft.
