Chris Eubank Jr. is coming off the biggest fight, more accurately, the biggest win of his career thus far. The 35-year-old defeated generational rival Conor Benn via unanimous decision last month in Tottenham. Now, he is expanding his horizons, looking to add bigger names to his resume. Two-time undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez seems to be one of them.
There were some talks about Alvarez, who is slated to fight two-weight undisputed champion Terence Crawford on September 12th in Las Vegas, fighting Eubank Jr. However, there’s no concrete evidence supporting such a matchup. Regardless, the Sussex native has revealed his three-man hit list, including Canelo, he would like to square off against next. And boy oh boy, fans gave him a reality check.
Who is on the three-man hit-list from Chris Eubank Jr.?
Just the other day, Chris Eubank Jr. appeared in an interview with Steven Bartlett on The Diary of a CEO, where he opened up about how his brother’s death impacted his relationship with their father. But amid the emotional conversation, the son of Chris Eubank Sr. also turned heads by revealing the three opponents he wants to face next. First on the list was Conor Benn—a rematch that Eubank Jr. is eager to settle. Then came Canelo Alvarez, a fight he wants for the obvious reasons: legacy and money. The final name? Billy Joe Saunders, who handed Eubank Jr. the first-ever professional loss of his career back in November 2014. This three-man hit list was later shared on X by iFL TV.

Canelo Alvarez defeats Eubank Jr. in public poll
The prospect of one of the most popular English fighters squaring off against the biggest Mexican boxer of the current era was bound to get people talking. And it did, but it wasn’t in Eubank Jr.’s favor. One user was clear with his opinion on the fights. “Billy Joe fight will never happen, he’s way too out of shape. Canelo picks Chris apart, Conor fight is 50/50,” the user wrote. Saunders retired from the sport after suffering his first loss to Canelo Alvarez in 2021.
Another user didn’t waste one breath sharing their thought. “Canelo would be a mismatch, but BJS super middle would be good,” the user commented. Interestingly, Saunders has spoken about making a return to the sport, but nothing concrete has come out of it yet.
The next user believed Eubank Jr. could beat two names on the list. “2…. Benn & Saunders (since he’s not fought for about 100 years or something ) absolutely no chance vs Canelo,” the user wrote. Saunders last fought in May 2021, so that means it’s been a little over four years.

Unlike the previous user, this fan thought Eubank could beat only one name on the list. “One, against Benn, won’t beat Canelo, and [I] doubt [the] Saunders fight happens, he must be a heavyweight currently,” the user wrote. Notably, before the Conor Benn fight, there was a heated confrontation between Saunders and security staff, who stopped him from entering Eubank’s dressing room.
While most people were skeptical about Eubank’s chances against the three men, this user had another idea. “He’s capable of beating all 3,” the user wrote confidently. Well, he has already beaten Benn, and Saunders hasn’t fought in over four years, so Eubank Jr. should be able to beat them, but Canelo is likely to be too much for the Brit.
That said, while Chris Eubank Jr. is hoping to land these three fights next, only time will tell whether he gets that opportunity. In case it does, what are your predictions for the three fights?
