The New England Patriots fans are fired up! Last week, the Las Vegas Raiders’ tackle Kolton Miller didn’t show up for voluntary workouts. And soon, trade rumors lit up X. Miller’s in the last year of his deal, and Vegas hasn’t even picked up the phone to talk extension. That’s wild, considering he’s been one of the best left tackles out there. Meanwhile, in Mike Vrabel’s team, the need at that position couldn’t be louder, and guess what? The decision has been taken!

We all know that with young QB Drake Maye in the building, you need a rock-solid vet guarding his blindside. So yeah, fans were dreaming big, thinking of Vrabel welcoming Miller. But as soon as the pick was announced for the Patriots in the 2025 NFL Draft today, all went into a state of surprise!

Mike Vrabel and the Pats gave a shocker as they selected LSU OT Will Campbell on the fourth overall. That’s not just high, that’s the highest any LSU offensive lineman has ever gone. He came in with hype, and he backed it all up.

Day one on campus, he locked down the left tackle spot and never looked back. He started in 38 games, and didn’t let anyone touch Jayden Daniels during that Heisman run. So, of course, that’s wild. In fact, Campbell was All-SEC, All-American, and even wore LSU’s iconic No. 7 patch – something linemen just don’t get. But he earned it. Now, he’s off to New England, ready to protect Drake Maye’s blindside, and honestly, it just feels right.

However, for the fans of the Foxborough team, this decision by Mike Vrabel has left them frustrated. Why? Well, it’s especially because of his short arms. For instance, one wrote: “Short arms. He’ll be a bust!” Campbell’s arm length was the talk of the town since the NFL scouting combine. His arm length measured as 32 5/8 inches, with a wingspan of 77 3/8 inches.

Hence, another fan commented, “Ruining the draft.” While others clearly expressed the failure of new Patriots coach Mike Vrabel by saying, “Annoying bro,” “*deep sigh* Thank you Jerod for winning a meaningless game in January,” or “Stop spoiling picks.
