California is home to some of the most dangerous cities in US - Bay Area near bottom of safety ranking

San Francisco and Oakland are among the 10 least safe cities in the country. Oakland recorded a crime rate of 19.3 per 1,000 residents – the second highest only after Memphis at 25.
