Two years after Britney Spears called out former flame Justin Timberlake in her revealing memoir, The Woman in Me, signs suggest the iconic pop star has moved past their complicated history.
Spears, 43, shared a new dance video on Instagram this Saturday, March 8, 2025, showcasing her moves in a black lace bodysuit paired with a camel-colored wide-brimmed hat. The footage captured the singer dancing provocatively to Timberlake’s “Señorita” while positioned a little too close to a fireplace that had a fire burning.
Timberlake, 44, dropped “Señorita” in 2002 — coinciding with the end of his relationship with Spears. The inspiration behind the track and Spears’ choice to dance to it remain subjects of speculation.
The former couple’s history dates back to their time as castmates on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club, with their romantic relationship spanning from 1999 to 2002.
“The most painful thing I’ve ever experienced was that breakup,” Spears recalled to W magazine in 2003. “We were together so long, and I had this vision. You think you’re going to spend the rest of your life together. Where I come from, the woman is the homemaker, and that’s how I was brought up — you cook for your kids. But now I realize I need my single time. You have to do your own thing.”

Spears’ 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me, revealed deeper layers of their relationship. The “Stronger” vocalist alleged that the former ‘NSync member had pressured her regarding an abortion, engaged in infidelity “a couple of times,” and concluded their relationship via text message.
In her account, Spears described feeling “clinically in shock” and “devastated” when Timberlake terminated their relationship.
